Late at night, he reminded me that I could turn on a desk lamp to work; after checking the car, he noticed it wasn’t locked properly and helped me lock it; and in the morning, he even went out of your way to buy milk for me. All of this is so heartwarming!

We stayed at Le Petit Riad in Sep 2025.

Location
Ouarzazate is a compact town, so it is within easy reach of virtually anywhere you wish to go. The neighbourhood is clean and quiet. Although it is right next to the airstrip, we never heard a single plane during our stay there.

Service
The staff were very attentive. Special call out to Iman and Muhammed who were welcoming and helpful.

Property and room
The property was well maintained and looked new. There are plenty of nooks and crannies for huddling up with your travel group - including a rooftop terrace with nice views of the surroundings. There is a modest-sized outdoor pool for chilling off after a day of trekking at Ait Ben Haddou or Atlas Studios. Like most riads, the rooms are not huge but can comfortably accommodate two each.

The best accommodation on our tour of southern Morocco. We extended our stay in Ouarzazate by three more days and we really liked Le Petit Riad. The staff takes great care of the guests. Special requests for food are gladly accommodated. Breakfast and dinner are highly recommended.

We were warmly welcomed and the room was very comfortable. Our pool was right near by the pool and we were sceptical that it might be loud, also because the hotel is located directly in front of the airport. But this was not the case and we slept soundly without noise disturbance.
The bed was huge and has the right hardness and beautifully decorated. The pool area is also very beautiful, although it was too cold already for us to swim. Breakfast was also amazing, with delicious little pancakes were our favorite.
Parking is "just" at the street, but they have a guard watching the entrance at night, who also watched the cars, so we felt safe leaving our car there.
The service was outstanding, if we have the chance, would definitely come again 🙂
Best parts: 1) Decor 2) Service 3) Food

This stay was absolutely beautiful! The inside is decorated incredibly and the layout of the hotel is wonderful. This is a very intimate stay with just a few spacious, and comfortable rooms.

What really stood out was the wonderful service of the staff. They were so kind and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable, even letting me pick out which room I preferred!

Lastly, the food was amazing! Some of the best I had in my entire time in Morocco. It felt very authentic and high end, absolutely loved it!

Ouarzazate Residential Guesthouse
4.4

Le Petit Riad provides a domestic accommodation option within the urban area of Ouarzazate. Positioned as an alternative to the larger, standardized hotels that dominate the city’s tourism sector, this guesthouse utilizes a traditional Riad-style layout to offer a more localized sense of place. It functions primarily as a stable base for travelers who prioritize proximity to the city’s commercial and transit hubs over the high-volume services of major resort-style properties. You should manage your expectations regarding the facilities: as an independent, family-managed establishment, the infrastructure is subject to the maintenance cycles of a traditional, non-commercial building. Do not expect round-the-clock concierge support or modern soundproofing; the structure is designed for simplicity and authentic residential living rather than industrial-grade hotel polish. The atmosphere is generally quiet and private, though subject to the ambient activity of the neighborhood. It is a pragmatic and honest choice for travelers seeking an authentic local environment, provided they value the character of a residential guesthouse over the consistent, automated amenities of a corporate hotel.
