An excellent and breathtaking experience: walking through the dunes, sleeping in the desert, and watching the sunrise. It's definitely something everyone should do at least once in their life. However, I strongly dislike the way they treat the dromedaries and camels, so I recommend choosing to walk, which is perfectly doable, and that way we don't harm these poor animals.

Definitely one of the craziest experiences of my life. Lost in the middle of the dunes, after a two-hour camel ride, we arrived at the bivouac where a delicious meal awaited us. The sleeping arrangements were basic, but if it hadn't been for a sandstorm, we would have slept directly on the sand in the dunes.

We stayed one night in the Hotel and one night in the desert. Sadly they gave us dirty Water. So I am Sitting Here in Marrakech the third day with Diarrhoe from hell. Sahara was nice anyway.

Staying at a desert bivouac in Merzouga was, without a doubt, the highlight of my trip to Morocco. Watching the sunset over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi was breathtaking, and the silence of the desert at night was deeply peaceful. The camp was beautifully set up, blending traditional nomadic style with all the comfort needed for a great night’s sleep. I loved the authentic dinner around the campfire, accompanied by traditional music and fascinating stories from the guides. If you are looking for an immersive, once-in-a-lifetime experience in the heart of the Sahara, this is an absolute must-do.
