Staying at Oscar Hotel by Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate felt like stepping onto a movie set in the heart of “Moroccan Hollywood.” The hotel is filled with fascinating memorabilia from the many films shot in the area, which adds a fun and unique character throughout the property.

The staff were gracious and welcoming, making us feel well taken care of from the moment we arrived. We stayed in the Cleopatra Suite, which was beautifully decorated and fully embraced its theme—every detail thoughtfully designed to reflect the cinematic atmosphere. The suite also overlooked a lovely swimming pool, adding to the relaxing ambiance.

Both breakfast and dinner were served in the hotel’s charming restaurant, and we appreciated the convenience as well as the pleasant setting.

For anyone visiting Ouarzazate, especially film enthusiasts, this hotel offers a distinctive and memorable stay.

We stayed here in January 2026 during low season and had a good experience. Service both at the reception as well in the restaurant was impeccable and the food during breakfast and dinner was delicious. The hotel has A/Cs that can be used for heating.

I’d recommend going for one of the suite rooms since the regular rooms are very basic (we stayed in both).

We had some issue with the WiFi as well as hot water, but these problems were resolved quickly by the personnel. But the internet connection seems to be an issue in many areas of the hotel, so this is something the hotel should get fixed asap.

In summary, value for money was alright, but not outstanding. The experience was fun anyway and the staff made up for any shortcomings we experienced.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Ouzazarte, check this out.

I felt like everything was done cheaply at this hotel. Rooms too small. Towels old and frayed. The standard room is a double bed. You have to pay extra for a queen size bed. The hotel is old and needs upgrading. Staff seem unmotivated and stand around together talking and they don’t like to be interrupted with questions. No internet in bedroom. Food was not too bad though which was much appreciated.

Amazing hotel. Full of memorabilia, very well maintain and beautiful spaces all over the place. Nice pool areas, pretty cool rooms and good food (and that it is not easy in that area at all). Service was good and the location is perfect attached to Atlas studios, they are worth it.
