We stayed here for 3 nights with our 1 year old and had the best time ever. The food was amazing, the staff was incredible and the hotel was well taking care off. We are definitely coming back. Thank you for everything!!

Wonderful experience. Amazing food, staff was incredibly attentive, rooms were great. Highly recommend going on a walk or bike ride of the dirt roads behind the lodge - fun to get lost between the palm trees and mud walls.

We booked a two night stay with Azalai (1 night at the lodge, 1 night at the desert camp), based on a recommendation from a friend, and we were certainly not disappointed! The desert camping experience in the Sahara desert was truly a memorable and unique experience, and the lodge stay in Zagora (eastern Morocco) was full of warmth and hospitality. The staff at the desert lodge are simply amazing, preparing food for us in the desert heat is unimaginable, but always greeted us with smiles! Definitely book the camel riding at sunset or sunrise — this was SO much fun and such a different experience from our other travels. Lalie assisted with all our travel arrangements and suggested options when our flight got changed — we ended up making the long drive (~11 hours) from Marrakech to the Sahara desert, and from Zagora back to Marrakech for our flight (6 hours), but we wouldn’t have done it any other way as our driver Hamouda was awesome and incredibly genuine! He shared with stories about his background coming from a nomadic family, and also educated us on this beautiful country. Thank you also to Soufiane, and Hesson at the lodge for accommodating our stay so warmly — whether it was serving dinner in our room, or making us breakfast for our 430am wakeup call, and sending us on our drive with a delicious and generous picnic spread! We cannot recommend this amazing enough — definitely a bucket list item, and worth a visit!

Family stay with children. Beautiful surroundings, amazing staff and well appointed rooms made our stop over wonderful. Food was great too. Can’t ask for much more on your way to or from the desert. Thank you making our stay with you memorable.
