Gîte d’étape Khettara Oasis is an authentic, eco-conscious rural lodge situated on the oasis fringes within the Errachidia territory. Built entirely out of sustainable, climate-optimized rammed earth, this educational property offers overlanders, researchers, and cultural heritage travelers a humble yet deeply immersive look into traditional pre-Saharan living.

The guesthouse features basic, thermally balanced clay rooms, communal carpets for dining, and a rustic rooftop looking over the flat landscape. Guests can share authentic, wood-fired local bread, drink mint tea with the hosts, and take walking tours to inspect the nearby ancient underground irrigation channels (khettaras) that define the local survival heritage.

I've been absolutely delighted with this place. Just on the outskirts of town. Perfect! Great people, incredibly friendly, delicious food, clean and super cozy room. They even let me park my motorbike in the garden. Everything was perfect, seriously. And the price was great! Thank you so much for everything. I highly recommend it!

Simple accommodation in an idyllic village north of Errachidia. The hosts are very friendly and lovely.

We stayed here as a small group of students on a road trip.

Highly recommended if you want to get away from the tourist hotspots.
