We arrived at Hotel Amadou in Tinghir on December 30 at around 6 pm. I was with my wife and daughter. I had made a reservation for a "Comfort Studio with Garden View". The reception was unattended except for an elderly man who struggled to find our reservation. He could not read my printed itinerary and could not find my name in his phone. Then he took us upstairs and showed you to a large, absolutely unfurnished room floor with three beds, no heater despite cold temperatures, a broken not functioning shower, and almost no lighting. Bare wires hung from the ceiling. One wire terminated with a bulb, all other were open-ended. The man simply said, “this is all what I have” and left.

We could not stay there even for a minute and easily found a very decent accommodation nearby. When I demanded my money back, because I did not use their service, this demand was coldly ignored.

When we arrived on 18/02/25 at 22pm the host of the hotel didn't even looked at us he told us that all rooms are occupied. We knew that it wasn't. He didn't gave us time and walked away.

The worst experience ever, We had a reservation 5 days before and we confirmed 2 days before we hit the road, We drove 12 hours, we arrived at night, when we asked for our rooms the receptionist told us that they were all sold and there is nothing he could do and it's a totally normal situation!!!!!!!!!!!!
He didn't offer any help as we're new to the city and we had no Idea where to go, it was dark and the other hotels were fully booked.
Terrible communication, Terrible people.

I don't recommend it at all, if you book this hotel, keep in mind that you'll have to find another one where you spend the night.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. We are satisfaction with room plus they are kindly with my dog by the way dogs are welcome to in Hotel and than are located in midell of popular area in Tinghir . And they are not easy to find for they are a labeling of the hotel's own in the main road, but after that they are not more. You must ask people there GPS stop.
I hesitate between 2 and 3 stars, but according to the price, it worth 3 stars: it's very cheap! The breakfast is standard traditional Moroccan and so nice. The rooms are clean but everything is so old. Let's hope that the owner will invest sooner or later in renovation. The first step, would be to remove the painting splits on the floor and buy new towels and new bed sheets. But the place is clean and not dirty as I read in a previous post.
